jade introduced me to the mystery electrical box at francisco station that sings this song to the crickets

didn’t think i had captured it at first, but found a blurry snippet of evidence upon looking back — a single firefly, amidst a gathering of blinking traffic barriers. can’t help but wonder if they (the firefly) were searching for a mate, or at least some company w/ familiar souls <3

i’m always attempting to trick myself into thinking that I have made enough field recordings. I have made hundreds of recordings of birds, wind, rain, and water. surely, that’s all there is to listen to, I’m done now, I can just stay inside today.
